2007 Grammer Marine Buddy Trail
Entry Fee: $100.00 (includes big fish, 10% of each entry goes towards the championship.)
Take off will be in order of registration.
Tournament Rules:
1. Tournament hours will be from safe daylight to 3:00 pm CST (first flight). All boats must
check in at designated site by an assigned flight time or be disqualified.
2. All contestants must wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket while gas engine is on.
The boat driver must have a kill switch attached while engine is running.
3. All contestants must obey Alabama Water Safety Rules and Alabama Game and
Fish Regulations.
4. No alchoholic beverages will be allowed at any time. Any use of alcohol or explicit drugs
will result in the offender being banned from the trail.
5. Five (5) fish limit. Must cull after catching 6th fish. No culling at the ramp.
Eight (8) ounce penalty for each dead fish.
6. No trolling, live bait, or fishing within 50 yards of another boat that was first anchored.
7. All fish brought to the weigh-in (except trophy bass) will be returned to the water when
weighed.
8. It will be the expressed condition that all prize winners be subject to a polygraph test,
which will be given by a licensed polygraph tester, and must pass
the test in order to win the prize.
9. Only Largemouth and Spotted bass will be weighed. Each fish must meet the 12 inch
minimum length. Unless the state or lake limit is more than 12 inches. In all cases the
state or lake limit will prevail. Short fish penalty will be one (1) pound for each non legal
fish presented and the short fish will not be counted towards the total weight.
10. The tournament committee reserves the right to disqualify any questionable
fish (iced, damaged, etc.).
11. All contestants must obey Alabama Water Safety Rules and Alabama Game and
Fish Regulations.Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
12. If inclement weather conditions exist prior to the start of the tournament, the tournament
committee has the right to delay or postpone the event. Should inclement weather arise
during the tournament, it is the responsibility of the fishermen to take the appropriate
action to provide for their safety. Any protests must be submitted to tournament director
in writing before the last team weighs.
13. To qualify for the "Team of the Year" awards, teams must maintain the same partners in
each event. Team of the year points will be determined by a team's best three finishes
overall. Teams must fish or pay for all four (4) tournaments to be considered for team of
the year. If teams fish or pay for all four (4) tournaments they will be able to drop their
lowest finish. All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship. In
case of any conduct not complying with Grammer Marine rules, Grammer Marine reserves
the right to disqualify or deny entry into its tournaments.
14. In case of a tie positions will be resolved by combining and dividing the awards equally
among the tied contestants. A tie for big fish will be determined by a coin toss.
15. Classic first place tie will be determined by a fish off. The first person to return to the
weigh in site with a legal fish will be Champion.
16. Must maintain same partner throughout trail.
All conditions which are not covered by the above rules will be resolved by the
tournament committee, whose decision will be FINAL.
